Maximo Anywhere mobile apps make work possible online and offline. When the device is online, the data is synchronized in real time. When the device is offline, the app remains operational, data collection is still secure and stored on the device. Data is synchronized when connectivity is restored.

Maximo Asset Management and Maximo Anywhere are integrated in a way to enable online and offline work. Maximo Anywhere enables you to manage the application lifecycle and connect mobile apps with the enterprise system during runtime.

The Maximo Anywhere apps are integrated with the work management service provider in IBM Maximo Asset Management.

This integration enables mobile workers to access and update work orders, inspect assets and locations on work orders, and count inventory items. A map view can be configured for some of the Maximo Anywhere mobile apps. By using a map view, mobile workers can access the geographical location of work orders in their current work list. All apps support barcode scanning and voice recognition.
