Digit Bela project to digitally renew Elektro Ljubljana
On 16 May, consortium partners Elektro Ljubljana, d.d., Informatika d.o.o., Troia d.o.o. and Comland d.o.o. presented the Digit Bela project for the digital transformation of the Elektra Ljubljana ecosystem at the Slon Hotel in Ljubljana.

The project was presented by representatives of the lead partner, Elektro Ljubljana, Executive Director of OE Network Operations and Development Matjaž Osvald, Digit Bela Project Manager Maja Savinek and representatives of the consortium partners, Informatica was represented by Assistant Director of Business Area, Dr. Andrej Bregar.
“A large part of our resources is devoted to IT services. A significant achievement in this area is the digitisation of the system with state-of-the-art software, which in the past year has created a digital twin of our HV, MV and LV networks. The Digit Bela project represents a digitisation of maintenance and investment for the company,” said Matjaž Osvald.
The Digit Bela project aims to digitally transform Elektro Ljubljana’s ecosystem to support the energy transition and improve customer experience. “In the course of the digital transformation, we are pursuing objectives to develop a digital strategy, transform the business functions of developing and maintaining the electricity distribution network, improve reliability, flexibility and accelerate the adoption of renewable energy sources, and promote connectivity, interoperability and seamless data exchange between different actors. We want to build digital tools and integrate them with services for grid users. They will enable more efficient communication, increase active participation of users in the electricity ecosystem, strengthen cyber security and ultimately improve the digital competences of employees”, said Maja Savinek.
The project includes seven new, innovative products that will have a sustainable impact on ensuring a stable and reliable supply of renewable energy, supporting the green transition through optimal investments in the grid, and impacting the dynamic tariffication and resilience market through the successful digital transformation of business functions and process automation. The project is implemented from the beginning of April 2022 until the end of March 2024. The project value is EUR 2,870,557.00, EUR 1,468,986.82 co-financed by the European Union under the Recovery and Resilience Fund – NextGenerationEU.
