The release adds Maximo Assistant support on mobile, embedded Maximo Visual Inspection for AI photo inspection, expanded crew and location management, material requisition, mobile inventory processes, enhanced calibration, inspection improvements, faster login and synchronization, biometric electronic signature support, and proactive administration tooling. These enhancements are designed to reduce desktop dependency and give field teams better guidance at the point of work. 

Safety, compliance, and environmental operations move into the flow of work 

IBM Maximo Health, Safety and Environment receives enhancements that help organizations manage risk, incidents, permits, audits, regulatory obligations, waste, emissions, and corrective actions in the same operational system where work is planned and executed. 

In 9.2, the emphasis is on mobile-first safety operations, AI-assisted incident intelligence, and environmental integration. 

New capabilities include mobile inspections, mobile permit to work, mobile incident reporting, contractor safety support, incident intelligence, emissions integration, and AI-assisted incident classification. Together, these features help connect hazard identification, investigation, compliance, and corrective action to the operational processes that teams already use every day.
